Sometimes it’s just hard to make a choice.  You’d think I would be here to help.  Errr, nope.  Instead I am throwing out a few more suggestions for you to try today.  Being’s how it is Wednesday and we do like to bring in some interesting stuff for you to try.  For example, today we’re bringing out a lovely Italiano Blanco, or white Italian.  This brat is awesome, with red pepper, caraway and a bit of fennel.  Definitely worth trying.  We are also bringing you some Rattlesnake/Pheasant sausages.  Lean, a bit herby, a bit spicy, all delicious.  For the discerning palate (I can’t believe I just said that) we have the German Waatlander.  This is a pork sausage made with white wine and sweet onion.  Very cool brat.  You’ll also find our Pheasant brat as well as the rest of the menu.  We’ll be at 16th and Arapahoe as well as on Auraria with the carts today.  Swing by and say howdy!

​Since it motored into Denver earlier this month, Biker Jim’s fancy new food truck, which he plans to take national, has been sequestered in a secret location somewhere in the city, but on Sunday, he’ll introduce it to Denverites for the first time in conjunction with his latest appearance on the flat-screen.

Biker Jim has already had plenty of screen time: He’s showcased his mug (and his wieners) on No Reservations with Anthony Bourdain; Susan Feniger ballyhooed his elk sausage on the Best Thing I Ever Ate; and his Larimer Street brick-and-mortar was the centerpiece of a recent episode of Ludo Bites. And on Saturday, he, along with the Biscuit Bus, will be featured on Unique Eats on the Cooking Channel — and you can watch them both from the comfort of the Atomic Cowboy, which houses the Denver Biscuit Co.

But the viewing party won’t begin before Jim hustles frankfurters for the first time from his truck to the home crowd. “Yeah, I think it’s finally time to haul it out, so we’ll pull up to the Atomic Cowboy around 5 p.m., team up with the Biscuit Bus and sling some biscuits and wieners,” says Jim, adding that one of the dogs will be a reindeer in a blanket — or biscuit.

The show, which focuses on Jim’s sliders, his wiener Wellington and pheasant cordon bleu, along with marvels from the Biscuit Bus, starts at 8 p.m.
